Thomas Martin Thompson's name will forever be associated with the heinous murder of Ginger Fleischli. On July 2, 1984, Thompson (or so we think) took the life of Ginger in a brutal and senseless act that shook the community to its core. The details of the case are chilling, revealing a tragic and violent end to a young woman's life along with the corruption and unethical tactics of the State of California’s Justice system. May we also not forget the involvement of David Leitch, Ginger’s ex boyfriend, who had all the motive yet still lives? The impact of this crime continues to be felt to this day, a stark reminder of the consequences of an unjust system.

2 Pounds of Alaskan King Crab Legs and Claws

1 stick Salted Butter

2 Cloves Garlic (minced)

1/2 Tsp Cajun Seasoning (of Choice)

1 Tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Mandarin Style Spare Ribs

3 Pounds Country Style or Spare Ribs

1 Cup Soy Sauce

1 1/4 Cup Orange Marmalade

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1 Tsp Ground or Fresh Ginger

1/2 Tsp Black Pepper

Fried Rice

Sauce

1/3 Cup Soy Sauce

1/3 Cup Oyster Sauce

1/3 Cup Mirin (substitute: 1/3 Cup Rice Vinegar + 5.5-6 Tsp Sugar)

1-2 Sliced or Pulled Spare Rib Meat (yes we’re going to kill two birds with one stone

Step 1 - The Night Before

Start with the Rib Marinade. Mix together the soy sauce, orange marmalade, minced garlic, ginger and pepper into a bowl and set aside. Take the ribs and place in a single layer in a pan. Pour marinade over the ribs, leaving some for basting the next day. Cover and place in the fridge overnight.

Next were going to make some rice. Start by taking a cup of rice and rinse it in cold water 3-4 times using a strainer and a bowl. Drain the water. Place in a pot with 2 cups water and cook as directed. Let cool and place in the fridge overnight.

Step 2 - The Next Day

Start with ice cream. Add the heavy whipping cream to a stand mixer and let it whip on medium speed until it forms stiff peaks, not not make it β€œchunky” looking and be careful it can happen fast. After this fold in the sweetened condensed milk and the vanilla extract. Add this to a freezer safe container and freeze for 5-8 hours (you could do this the night before also).

Step 3

Take the ribs out of the fridge and set up your instant pot. Place all your ribs in the instant pot along with all the marinade and a cup of water and hit the meat preset and set the cook time to 45-50 minutes. Let that do its thing completely. Do not release the pressure manually, let it go, patience.

Step 4

Now we can make the croutons. Slice your bread into the size of choice for the croutons, I did square pieces. Add the bread, olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt and place the lid on the container. Shake the container until all the pieces are evenly covered in goodness then add those to an air fryer or oven. Bake at 325-350℉ or 163-177 ℃ for 10-18 minutes or until crispy and solid. Let cool and use in your salad in the next step.

Step 5

Theres not much to do in this time frame so I recommend chopping what we need: cherry tomatoes, red onion, green onion, and more garlic. You can also make up your salad of choice (personal preference) and you can always add your dressing of choice when you sit down with the rest of the food, its a good way to get something big done and set to the side.

Step 6

The ribs should be done in the instant pot, so take those out and place onto a baking sheet. Now take one of the ribs and either shred it or slice it (which is hard since these are fall apart tender) . Set that aside. Now baste them with the left over marinade from the night before. Place that in the oven preset to 400℉ or 204℃ for about 12-15 minutes. Baste more as needed throughout the baking process.

Step 7

Prep your crab legs. Although most frozen crab legs are already cleaned, its still a good idea to wash your legs with cold water before cooking to avoid any possible contaminations. Add those to a large pan. In a medium sauce pot add the butter, minced garlic, parsley, MSG, lemon pepper, and cajun seasonings and let that melt. Once melted, brush your crab legs with the butter mixture and place in a 400℉ or 204℃ for about 20 minutes. Bake them with the ribs.

Step 8

Prep your fried rice sauce. In a medium bowl mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, mirin (or mirin substitute), sesame oil, white pepper and MSG together and set aside. Next heat a Wok over medium high heat and add some oil. Fry and scramble the eggs and set aside. Next add the rice and break it up. Add in the garlic, green onions, pork. Mix together and add your stir fry sauce (to taste, I didn’t use all of mine). Place in a bowl and add green onions as garnish. A

At this time too, take the crab legs out of the oven and brush with more butter, fill up a bowl with the rest of the butter for dipping and plate that as well, Also plate the ribs and garnish both with lemon slices and fresh parsley.

Step 8

Finally the hot fudge and ice cream. In a medium pot add the chocolate chips and sweetened condenses milk and heat over medium heat until melted. Cut the heat and add the butter. Serve while hot. Scoop your frozen ice cream into a bowl and drizzle with the hot fudge and sprinkles.

Make sure everything is plated, add some salad dressing to the salad and enjoy!!
